FAQ

## Questions about moving to Niyora

Can I move my period history from another app to Niyora?

+

Yes. Export your data from your old app, then open the file in Niyora. Niyora reads it on your phone and shows what it found, and when you import, your periods, symptoms and moods come across. If your periods are in Apple Health, connect it instead and Niyora reads them with no file.

Which apps can I import from?

+

Niyora reads the export files from Clue, Flo, Bearable, Daylio, drip and Natural Cycles, and any spreadsheet saved as CSV with a date column and a period column. Stardust and Life Period Tracker come across through Apple Health, if they wrote your periods there. Otherwise, add your recent periods by hand.

Does Niyora need years of cycle history?

+

Niyora needs only a few periods to start. It learns your cycle length from your last few period starts, and three or four are enough to mark your PMS window. A longer history fills out your cycle report, the PDF you can take to a doctor or therapist.

What files can Niyora read?

+

Niyora reads JSON, CSV, TSV, plain text and ZIP files up to 40 MB. It doesn’t read PDFs, screenshots or Apple Health’s own export.xml file. Your periods in Apple Health need no file at all. Connect Apple Health in Niyora and it reads them.

Am I allowed to take my data out of another app?

+

Yes. In the EU, the UK and Norway, data protection law gives you the right to a copy of the data you gave an app, in a format another app can read (GDPR Article 20). Flo, Clue and Bearable each explain how to ask for it on their own help pages.

Where does my imported history go?

+

Your imported history stays in Niyora on your phone. Niyora reads the export file on your phone and shows what it found before anything is saved. Niyora has no account, so your history isn’t tied to an email or a login. Niyora reads from Apple Health and never writes to it.
