 Moderate study design

258 nurses working shift schedules including night shifts

## What they did

Secondary data analysis of 258 nurses working shift schedules including nights. Researchers measured PMS, sleep patterns, sleep quality, and work stress using standardized questionnaires and devices like actigraphs.

## What they found

Average PMS score was 53.95, average sleep time was 7.52 hours, and sleep variability was 32.84%. Poor sleep quality and more irregular sleep times were both linked to worse PMS. Sleep quality completely explained the link between work stress and PMS.
