Can noofen help with painful periods and anxiety symptoms?
Girls with painful periods and anxiety symptoms who took noofen showed improvement in their symptoms over 30 days. The study found noofen was effective for treating these problems.
What they did
75 women aged 14-17 with painful periods and anxiety symptoms were divided into two groups. One group (45 women) received noofen 500 mg daily. The other group (30 women) received cyclic vitamin therapy (1 tablet on days 1-14 of the cycle, 2 tablets on days 14-28). The study lasted 30 days.
What they found
Girls with painful periods had various nerve complaints and autonomic disorders. They also had higher anxiety and fatigue. Noofen was shown to work in treating these conditions.
What it means for you
