Yes, there was a relationship between regular exercise and less severe PMS. Girls with regular exercise had lower rates of moderate and severe PMS than girls with irregular exercise.

Early or limited evidence 130 teenage girls at a high school in Tangerang, Indonesia

What they did

Cross-sectional survey of 130 teenage girls at a high school in Tangerang, Indonesia in November, using random sampling to ask about exercise frequency and PMS severity.

With severe PMS, 8 students exercised regularly (20.5%) and 31 exercised irregularly (79.5%). The study found a statistical relationship between sports activity and PMS severity.
